In California, we’re privileged to have relatively mild winters compared to most of the country. However, each change of season does bring with it specific challenges to your vehicle’s maintenance routine. While we gave you pre-winter tips back in December of things to take care of before the true winter hit, these new tips are important to take into account now to get your car ready for the new season. We here at Irvine Auto Center understand the importance of car maintenance and have the Irvine Autoplex Service Center available for all your service needs. Here are some car preservation tips that you can schedule for after winter auto care to ensure the longevity of your prized vehicle.
These are often overlooked until they crack or break apart, and with lots of rain this past winter, they probably got a lot of use. Check these out carefully for signs of damage and loose screws. Check specific instructions based on the kind you have on how best to clean them yourself, but if they need to be replaced, we here at Irvine Auto Center can guide you to the correct ones to purchase.
Decreased visibility during shorter winter days can cause us to hit potholes and other obstacles. Inspecting tire threads and air pressure once a month is a good idea. There are simple at home tests you can do to examine the wear and tear, but we are here to assist if there is anything about your tires that cause concern.
These are parts of our vehicles that we give no thought to until something goes wrong with them. Don’t be caught unaware with an alternator belt that has snapped or a radiator hose that has burst and you are far away from home. Let us examine them and replace any that are worn.
Irvine Auto Center has served the communities of Santa Ana, Aliso Viejo, and Tustin with first-rate auto care for many years. We go the extra mile for our customers, so when you need vehicle maintenance or repairs, a new vehicle, or a used vehicle in Irvine, come see us!
