As Ford aims to reignite the Lincoln brand, the automaker has recently unveiled its all-new 2017 Lincoln Continental North American International Auto Show earlier this month. Originally introduced in 1939, the Continental served as Lincoln’s flagship luxury sedan for 49 years until production ended with the 2002 model. After its 15 year hiatus, the Lincoln Continental is back. The 2017 Continental is all-new and more impressive than ever before. As a 2017 model, the Lincoln Continental won’t be available until summer 2016, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for updates from your Lincoln dealer in the Irvine Auto Center.
Take one good look at the 2017 Lincoln Continental and you’ll immediately sense the first-class presence of this elegant sedan. The Continental is, and always has been, a big car, but its large size yields an extremely spacious cabin that’s fit for the top executives. With its long hood and short rear end, the 2017 Continental’s sleek exterior will surely turn heads as it stands apart from the other luxury sedans. From the beginning, the new Lincoln Continental was designed for smooth and comfortable cruising, rather than high performance output.
We wouldn’t call the 2017 Lincoln Continental a big cat, but that doesn’t mean this luxury sedan isn’t equipped with a powerful motor. Under the hood lies a 400 horsepower 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 engine which is impressive, to say the least. This V6 is no slouch, and it helps make the Continental effortless to drive on the highway. Fit for royalty, the 2017 Continental is able to pull all of the right strings with its good looks and powerful engine.
