Dealer Comments
2026 Volkswagen Taos S FWD 1.5L I-4 direct injection, DOHC, variable valve control, intercooled turbo engine with 174 HP paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission; runs on regular gasoline and delivers competitive fuel economy for its class. The Taos S FWD blends lively turbocharged performance with everyday efficiency, offering a comfortable compact crossover package that’s easy to drive around town or on longer trips.
Smart device mirroring lets you use familiar apps and navigation through the Taos’s infotainment screen, so you can stay connected and focused without fumbling with your phone.
Hands-on steering assist and lane centering ease long drives by helping maintain a set speed and safe following distance while gently keeping the vehicle centered in its lane a calm, helpful co-pilot for highway miles.
Forward collision mitigation works behind the scenes to detect potential front-end impacts and prepare the vehicle and driver with timely alerts and braking intervention to help reduce crash risk.
Front pedestrian impact prevention enhances urban safety by monitoring the roadway ahead for pedestrians and taking preventative action if a collision becomes likely, helping protect vulnerable road users.
Unresponsive driver assist adds a layer of protection by recognizing prolonged driver inactivity and safely bringing the vehicle to a stop while alerting others, helping manage emergency situations when they occur.
A built-in mobile hotspot keeps passengers online without draining phone data, making it simple to stream, work, or navigate while everyone stays connected on the go.
The rear camera provides a clear view of whats behind the vehicle, simplifying parking and reversing maneuvers so you can back out or fit into tight spaces with more confidence.
Lane departure prevention helps prevent unintended lane drift by nudging or braking the vehicle back into position, offering extra reassurance on busy roads and during moments of distraction.
An active blind spot system watches the areas you can’t see and intervenes to help stop unsafe lane changes, which reduces stress when merging or passing on multi-lane roads.
Rear collision mitigation keeps an eye on what’s behind the Taos and prepares braking or other responses if a rear impact risk is detected, aiming to lessen the chance or severity of a collision.
Practical, safety-minded, and pleasantly efficient, the 2026 Volkswagen Taos S FWD is a compelling choice for buyers seeking modern tech and thoughtful driver aids in a compact crossover. Schedule a test drive to experience the turbocharged responsiveness, user-friendly connectivity, and peace-of-mind features firsthand.
